PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

It is my honor and privilege to have recently been selected to serve as Principal of Andress High School. Andress has a rich history and I am very excited to join the campus team and work with the entire school community to continue this tradition of excellence in providing our students with the best education possible. I was previously serving as principal in San Antonio ISD and I have eighteen years of experience in education serving in both the El Paso and San Antonio areas. I firmly believe in teamwork and that it takes a village to raise a child. I look forward to meeting with each and every one of you to discuss how Andress can best serve the needs of our students and community. I encourage our parents to become involved in our PTA, boosters, or become a parent volunteer at Andress. Staying involved in your son or daughter’s education is crucial as it is a proven fact that parental involvement at any level contributes directly to student success. I also encourage our students to become involved in one or more of the many extra-curricular activities Andress has to offer. Statistics show that students who are involved in school activities outside of the classroom and/or school day are generally more successful in their education. Andress offers a variety of activities and clubs which include athletics, academics, CATE, NJROTC and the many areas of the fine arts. I am very much looking forward to a very exciting and successful 2009-2010 school year. If you have any questions or we can be of any service, please contact the school at 832-8600.
